The Park Rules complement the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978, Crown Land (Reserves) Regulations 1997 and the Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration & Standards) Regulations 1999.
Occupancy in the Park is conditional upon the occupant complying with the following:
A site occupier must:
• Use the site, the Caravan Park and facilities properly and ensure that their visitors do the same.
• Not do anything in or near the site or Caravan Park which interferes with the privacy and peace and quiet of other occupants of the Caravan Park, or with their proper use and enjoyment of the Park.
• Keep the site clean and tidy.
• Pay the rent, hiring and other charges (including visitor’s fees) on the due date.
• Abide by the direction of staff or agent of the park in the upholding of Park Rules and Conditions.
The Following Park Rules Are To Be Observed By Occupiers
Security officers and Park staff make regular patrols of the Park. For any assistance telephone the park office on 5256 1600. When calling after-hour you will be provided with a direct mobile number for assistance.
Alcohol may be consumed on your site but not in public areas including playgrounds within the Park.
Emergency Assembly Areas
Riverview – Open space at north end of the park or BBQ area at the south end.
Riverside (6 weeks peak) – Walk to nearest assembly point at 18W in the centre or 20W at the South end or 21W at the north end of the reserve.
Children under 6yrs of age must be accompanied by an adult to amenities & kitchen. Cleaning of fish, dishwashing, and smoking in amenities and kitchen is prohibited.
No washing of wetsuits in showers permitted. Please use outside showers to rinse off. Amenity blocks are closed when cleaning in progress. Laundries will be locked at night.
Football, cricket and other ball games should not be played near cabins, sites, BBQ areas or amenities blocks where damage may occur and other site occupier’s enjoyment may be affected.
Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, scooters
Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, scooters and like may be used during daylight hours only. Park entry, exit and amenities areas are to be kept clear at all times. Helmets must be worn.
Boats, Jet-skis, PWC’s & like watercraft
Cleaning of boats on site is prohibited. Please clean your boat at the car wash. (Wallington Rd, Ocean Grove – near boat ramp)
PWC’s are not to be launched or landed on Barwon River beaches. SPEED LIMIT 5 KNOTS IN RIVER
All vans must be sited with drawbar facing the road.
Solid fuel fires including heat beads and weber type units are not permitted at any time in the Park or Reserve areas. Portable gas BBQ’s and cook tops are permitted. Be aware of safety clearances and requirements.
In accordance with C.F.A. Regulations, the use of portable gas BBQ’s & appliances is not permitted on days of total fire ban in the Park or Reserve areas, includes caravans, annexes, tents or in the open.
Fireworks are not permitted within Park or Reserve area.
Garbage, Recycling & Hard Rubbish
Bins are located in the Park & Reserve for disposal of Park garbage and recycle materials. Management encourages the recycling of bottles, containers, cardboard and paper.
Campers are requested to wrap and tie garbage before placing in park bins.
No hard rubbish i.e. mattresses, fridges, furniture, carpet, pallets, etc. to be left in Parks or Reserve. You brought it in, please take it out.
Use of generators is prohibited.
Non-compliance with Park Rules and conditions may result in cancellation of your site booking and forfeiture of all fees.
Playgrounds are provided for younger children and may be used during daylight hours only. Use of playgrounds is at the users own risk. No ball games are permitted within these areas.
The registered site holder is responsible at all times for all persons associated with his or her site. Children under 18 years of age are not to be delegated responsibility for any site. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Vehicles, bicycles, skateboards, roller-blades, scooters and like must not exceed 5kph within Park boundaries.
Subletting is prohibited. No occupant may make a charge to any other person for the right to occupy the site. Site rentals are not transferable
No additional tents or like structures allowed on caravan sites. The site must not be occupied by any more persons than there are beds in the dwelling.
i.e. visitors to a site may NOT erect a tent in addition to the principal occupants dwelling.
Visitors – notification
Where the site is to be occupied by persons other than the registered site holders, the Park must be advised in advance Unregistered occupants / visitors will be charged penalty rates or evicted from the Park.
