Ocean Grove is one of Victoria’s premier family beach destinations. Riverview is located right on the banks of the beautiful Barwon River Estuary – where the river meets the sea. This is a nice tidal broad water area perfect for the littlies to have a splash and also great for fishing, boating, stand-up paddle-boarding and, one of our favourites, launching a canoe to have a paddle upriver exploring the winding Barwon and its small tributaries.

Just a 2 minute walk from Riverview is Ocean Grove’s surf beach. This is a long stretch of wide sandy beach bordered by rolling sand-dunes. It’s is a great spot to catch some easy waves for surfing and body boarding or stretch the legs for a long lazy stroll and feel the sea breeze in your hair. There are lots of access paths to the beach within easy reach of Riverview. The Ocean Grove Surf Lifesaving Club patrols two sections of the beach during the summer season.
